New Las Vegas Ranch Specializing in Breeding Champion Reining Horses

August 1, 2004 -- The problem of not enough quality western performance horse bloodlines in Las Vegas has finally been resolved. Doyle Grant Performance Horses, located at the Rockin' KW Ranch in Las Vegas Nevada, will meet the growing need for quality, world class reining horses in the American southwest.

Together with their great mare Hollywood Tonite, and champion reining stallions such as ARC Sparkle Surprise, Smart Starbuck, Lil Ruf Peppy and Top Gun Whiz, Doyle Grant will fill a void for Las Vegas' fast growing reining community with the newest procedure in reproductive technology, embryo transfers. As of June 2002, The American Quarter Horse Association has lifted all restrictions on the number of foals it will register per year from any one mare. The change to AQHA Rule 212(a) means that the owner of an Quarter Horse mare will now be allowed to register as many foals per year from that mare as he or she wishes and can afford to have produced from the process of having embryos flushed and implanted into surrogate mares. Through embryo transfers, breeders can now breed quality mares more than once every breeding cycle.

Asked about this new technology, Keith Doyle put it best, "The new AQHA Rule has allowed us to finally bring quality western performance horses to Las Vegas. This year alone, we have successfully produced three embryos out of our great mare Hollywood Tonite. This will very much increase the amount of good blood coming into our reining community here in Southern Nevada."

Keith and his wife have competed in NRHA Reining events at the Non-Pro levels for some years now. Experiencing some success, they realized that the only way to continue to be competitive is to have better horses. Frustrated by the lack of quality reining horses in their home town, they decided to do something about it. "We love the sport of reining and want Las Vegas to be known for quality horses."

Together with his partner Alan Grant, Keith Doyle and his wife Winona, see a great future for the sport of reining, and plan to quench the thirst for world class horses needed to compete in this fast growing sport.
